“For as Yonah (Jonah) was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” ~Matthew 12:40 THE QUICK ANSWER IS: YOU DON’T! Let’s Count It Out to be 100% Certain! Defining Terms: A Hebrew day begins at sunset. At sunset, evening starts. The 4-Parts of a Day include: Evening – Night – Morning – Day “And Elohim called the light ‘day’ and the darkness He called ‘night.’ And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the first day.” ~Genesis 1:5 It is also important to understand that Messiah died on Passover Day, which is always on Day 14 / Month 1. In the “Good Friday” to “Easter Sunday” Scenario, the claim is Passoverwas on a Friday that year and that Messiah rose Sunday Morning. Let’s see if this adds up… Messiah was in the grave on Passover before sundown. Our count starts with Friday Day = Day 1 Friday Night, which is technically the beginning of Sabbath (the 7th Day), would be = Night 1 Sabbath Day (Saturday Day) = Day 2 Saturday Night = Night 2 Sunday Day = Day 3 (Question: Wasn’t Messiah suppose to raise Sunday Morning according to this theory? The Prophecy is 3 Days and 3 Nights…we have to keep counting…) Sunday Night = Night 3 At the conclusion of 3 Days and 3 Nights we end up on Monday Day.
“NO FALSEHOOD IS OF THE TRUTH!” ~1 John 2:21c The “Good Friday to Easter Sunday” propaganda is one the greatest liesever endured by mankind. Many “keep Sunday?” over Keeping the Sabbath based off this lie. Sometimes before receiving the TRUTH you must let go of the LIE… “NO FALSEHOOD IS OF THE TRUTH!” ~1 John 2:21c STAY TUNED…Part 2 & Part 3 Coming Soon… PART 2: The Sabbath Resurrection Made Simple PART 3: Why a “Sunday Resurrection” is Astronomically Impossible!

Happy New Year! It’s Time for Something New!*** Have you tasted the New Wine? The New Wine & New Wineskins REVEALED! (Part 1: New Wine) What is the New Wine? Let’s go to the Scripture and discover something amazing: Matthew 9:17-31 “Neither do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.” WHILE HE WAS SAYING ALL THIS TO THEM, SEE, a ruler came and bowed down to Him, saying, “My daughter is dead by now, but come and lay Your hand on her and she shall live.” And יהושע rose and followed him, His taught ones too. AND SEE, a woman who had a flow blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the tzitzit of His garment. What is the New Wine? “And as יהושע passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of Dawid, have compassion on us!” And when He came into the house, the blind men came to Him. And יהושע said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yea, Master.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your belief let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened. And יהושע strictly ordered them, saying, “See, let no one know.” But when they went out, they made Him known in all that land.” So what does NEW WINE have-to-do-with healing a woman, raising a dead girl, and opening the eyes of two blind men? EVERYTHING!!! (this will be covered in more detail in part 2) Wine = Life New Wine = New Life “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” ~John 10:10 “Oh everyone who thirsts, come to the waters. And you who have no silver, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without silver and without price. “Why do you weigh out silver for what is not bread, and your labour for what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and let your being delight itself in fatness. “Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, so that your being lives. And let Me make an everlasting covenant with you, the trustworthy kindnesses of Dawid.” ~Isaiah 55:1-3 Wine is symbolic of Blood “For the life of the flesh is in the blood…” ~Leviticus 17:11a “And He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering, . . . Likewise the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the renewed covenant in My blood which is shed for you.” ~Luke 22:15, 20 This is Why Messiah Died…to Renew the Covenant! Unfortunately most “Christians” today have NO IDEA what the New Covenant is? Do you know what the New Covenant is? Well it’s Time to Know! “See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yahudah, not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares יהוה. “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisrael after those days, declares יהוה: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” ~Jeremiah 31:31-33 “Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisraelafter those days, says יהוה, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” ~Hebrew 8:10 “And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause you to walk in My laws and guard My right-rulings and shall do them.” ~Ezekiel 36:26, 27 Has your pastor told you Messiah died to put the Torah in your heart? The New Covenant is the New Wine! (((TORAH IN YOUR HEART))) “I have delighted to do Your pleasure, O my Elohim, And Your Torah is within my heart.” ~Psalm 40:8 Have you tasted the New Wine? “Oh, taste and see that יהוה is good; Blessed is the man that takes refuge inHim! ~Psalm 34:8 Once you understand Messiah’s Torah is the New Wine (New Life), it is also critically important to put that New Wine into New Wineskins! Trying to put New Wine (New Life) into a “inappropriate container” will RUIN both the NEW WINE and the “inappropriate container.” Part 2: The New Wineskins REVEALED

Whom Do You Follow? Messiah or Paul? For most believers these may seem like strange questions… However, over the years of witnessing to Christians and Christian Pastors it is not uncommon for them to say “I don’t follow Messiah…I follow Paul” (which is a LOADED statement). I remember the first time I heard this, I was like “WHAT!?” I replied with, “how about 1 Corinthians 11:1where Paul instructs the Corinthians (commonly believed to be gentile believers)…saying, ‘Follow me as I follow Messiah’… What do you do with verses like that?” The common response after a minute or two of awkward silence is, “I guess I’ve never really thought about that…” “Become imitators of me, as I also am of Messiah.” ~I Corinthians 11:1 I believe many Christians and Christian Pastors have been “programmed” with many little dispensational sound bites (“Torah is done away”, “That’s for the Jews”, “I don’t follow Messiah…I follow Paul”, etc.), which are often “parakeeted” without any true searching of the Scriptures to see if those things are so. (Acts 17:11). The logic behind the dispensational sound bites above is: if the Torah is done away, if it’s only for the Jews, if we don’t have to follow Messiah, then we don’t have to be obedient to Messiah’s Standard. We are free to make our own standard, perhaps we can call them “church rules.” In Messiah’s day they were known as the “traditions of men or the works of the law.” “Forsaking the command of Elohim, you hold fast the tradition of men.” ~Mark 7:8 Even the statement, “I don’t follow Messiah…I follow Paul” suggest that there is a difference between Messiah and Paul’s message. Was Paul preaching a different Good News than Messiah? Was Messiah preaching a different Good News than Paul? “However, even if we, or a messenger out of heaven, bring a ‘Good News’ to you beside what we announced to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone brings a ‘Good News’ to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed.” ~Galatians 1:8, 9 So to be absolutely clear Messiah and Paul are on the same page! Contrary to what the “modern day church” teaches, Paul was not only keeping the Torah (The Instructions for Life) himself, but was also teaching the nations (the gentiles) to keep the Torah as well. For Messiah instructed his disciples to do just that! “Therefore, go and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit, teaching them (the nations) to guard all that I have commanded you. And see, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Aman.” ~Matthew 28:19, 20 So the next time someone says… Ask them:
“Who is your Saviour?” “Who is your King?” “What did Messiah say?” “Do you follow Messiah or Paul?” The Truth of the Matter is: “The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.” ~1 John 2:6 …Paul followed Messiah and so should you… For me and my house we will Follow the KING! “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. “And I give them everlasting life, and they shall by no means ever perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.” ~John 1o:27, 28 So the question still stands: Whom do you follow? In Part 2, we started to explain how the MEAL of John 13:1-32 is linked with the start of Day 13 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. and should not be confused with the Passover which occurred the following evening on Day 14 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. Today we are going to look a little deeper at the context surrounding these events! The Woman with the Alabaster Jar – Judas & The Passover Connection! “Truly, I say to you, wherever this Good News is proclaimed in all the world, what this woman did shall also be spoken of, to her remembrance.” ~Mark 14:9 What this woman did was wonderful! I also believe her story is directly linked to Yahudah’s (Judas) betrayal! Let’s Go to the Scriptures! “And it came to be, when יהושע ended all these words, He said to His taught ones, “You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man is to be delivered up to be impaled.” Then the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people came together at the court of the high priest, who was called Qayapha, and plotted to seize יהושעby trickery and kill Him. But they said, “Not at the festival lest there be an uproar among the people.” And when יהושע was in Beyth Anyah at the house of Shimon the leper, a woman came to Him, having an alabaster flask of costly perfume, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.” ~Matthew 26:1-7 “Now the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to take Him through treachery and put Him to death. And they said, “Not at the festival, lest there shall be an uproar of the people.” And while He was in Beyth Anyah in the house of Shimon the leper, and sitting at the table, a womancame having an alabaster flask of perfume, genuine nard, very costly. And breaking the flask she poured it on His head.” ~Mark 14:1-3 Both Matthew and Mark state that “she poured it on His head” TWO DAYS BEFORE PASSOVER! These Events occurred on Day 12 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. So why is this important? Well let’s pick up the story and see what happens Next… “She poured it on His Head”… “and when His taught ones saw it, they were much displeased saying, “To what purpose is this waste? “For this perfume could have been sold for much and given to the poor.” However, when יהושע noticed it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work toward Me. “For you always have the poor with you, but Me you do not have always. “For in pouring this perfume on My body, she did it for My burial. “Truly, I say to you, wherever this Good News is proclaimed in all the world, what this woman has done shall be spoken of also, to her remembrance.” THEN one of the twelve, called Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, WENT to the chief priests, ~Matthew 26:8-14 “But there were some who were much displeased among themselves, and said, “Why was this perfume wasted? “For it could have been sold for more than three hundred pieces of silver and given to the poor.” And they were scolding her. But יהושע said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. “For you have the poor with you always, and you are able do good to them, whenever you wish. But you do not always have Me. “What she had, she used. She took it beforehand to anoint My body for the burial. “Truly, I say to you, wherever this Good News is proclaimed in all the world, what this woman did shall also be spoken of, to her remembrance.” And Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, one of the twelve, WENT to the chief priests to deliver Him up to them. ~Mark 14:4-10 In both accounts, some of the taught ones were angry that the woman was “wasting” the perfume… THEN Yahduah (Judas) WENT To the chief priestto deliver up Messiah! As stated in Part 2, Yahudah WENT to the chief priest on Day 13 / Month 1. So the EVENT: YAHUDAH (JUDAS) WENT OUT is sandwiched between The Woman with the Alabaster Jar and the Passover! To better understand Yahudah’s betrayal we need to back up 6 Day Before Passover and examine a similar event. “Accordingly יהושע, six days before the Passover, came to Beyth Anyah, where Elazar was, who had died, whom He raised from the dead. So they made Him a supper there, and Martha served, while Elazar was one of those who sat at the table with Him. Then Miryam took a pound of costly perfume of nard, anointed the feet of יהושע, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” ~John 12:1-3 6 Days Before Passover Miryam anointed the feet of יהושע, and wiped His feet with her hair. This Event occurred on Day 8 / Month 1 in 34 C.E.! Miryam is named and anoints His feet on Day 8 / Month 1, whereas the unnamed woman anoints His head on Day 12 / Month 1.
Let’s continue… “Then one of His taught ones, Yahudah from Qerioth, son of Shimon, who was about to deliver Him up, said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred pieces of silver and given to the poor?” And he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and he used to take what was put in it.” ~John 12:4-6 Yahudah (Judas) was a THIEF! He used to take what was put in the (money) bag!!! WOW! We can see why he wasn’t happy… He was probably thinking inside… “hey I could of used that” So with his failure “to make a buck” on Day 8 sets the backdrop for the events on Day 12. It’s is after his second failure on Day 12, that leads him to give up Messiah on Day 13 for 30 pieces of silver! Part 1: Is Passover on the 14th or 15th? Part 2: When is Passover? Part 3: The Woman with the Alabaster Jar – Judas & The Passover Connection! Part 4: When Did The Apostle John Keep Passover? Part 5: Coming Soon… One of the main objections, I hear against celebrating the Passover at the beginning of the 14th is: “Since Messiah ate leavened bread at the last supper, therefore the evening preceding his death (evening of the 14th) could not have been the Passover!” At first glance this seem like a very strong argument, because the Scriptures clearly states that the Passover lamb is to be eaten with unleavened bread: “And they shall eat the flesh that night, roasted in fire, with unleavened bread, and they shall eat it with bitter herbs.” ~Exodus 12:8 Also in John 13:18 we read: “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but that the Scripture might be filled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.” What’s interesting about John 13:18 is that יהושע is quoting a prophecy from Psalm 41:9: “Even my own friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.” The Hebrew word used for bread in Psalm 41:9 is lechem Strong’s #H3899לחם, which can point to leavened bread, however lechem is also used for “showbread”, which is believed to be unleavened bread. Although we could go back and forth on the bread issue… Once we understand the “timing” of the events in question… we’ll realize “what is done with the bread” may be more important than the “type of bread” (leavened or unleavened). Was John 13:1-32 the Last Supper/Passover? Let’s Go to the Scripture and take a closer look: “And BEFORE the Festival of the Passover, יהושע knowing that His hour had come that He should move out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And suppertaking place, the devil having already put it into the heart of Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, son of Shimon, to deliver Him up, יהושע, knowing that the Father had given all into His hands, and that He had come from Elohim and was going to Elohim, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, and having taken a towel, He girded Himself. ~John 13:1-4 Did you notice the word BEFORE? The events in John 13:1-32 happen BEFORE PASSOVER! Let’s Continue… “After that He put water into a basin and began to wash the feet of the taught ones, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” ~John 13:5 “יהושע said to him (Peter), “He who has had a bath does not need to wash, except his feet, but is clean altogether. And you are clean, but not all of you.” For He knew who would deliver Him up, so He said, “You are not all clean.” ~John 13:10, 11 “When יהושע had said this He was troubled in spirit, and witnessed and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.” The taught ones looked at one another, doubting of whom He spoke. And one of His taught ones, whom יהושע loved, was reclining on the bosom of יהושע. Shimon Kepha (Peter) then motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke. And leaning back on the breast of יהושע he said to Him, “Master, who is it?” ~John 13:21-25 PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! “יהושע answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, son of Shimon. And after the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. יהושע, therefore, said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” ~John 13:26, 27 NOTICE: Taught ones doubting who it could be that delivers up יהושע John reclining on the bosom of יהושע Kepha motions to John (the disciple whom יהושע loved) to ask who it was יהושע tells John, the one I give bread to after dipping it יהושע dips bread יהושע gave bread to Yahudah After the bread, Satan entered into Yahudah Okay Let’s Continue “What you do, do quickly.” “But no one at the table knew why He said this to him, for some were supposing, because Yahudah had the bag, that יהושע was saying to him, “Buy what we need for the festival,” or that he should give somewhat to the poor. ~John 13:27b-29 Again the PASSOVER had not STARTED YET! “having received the piece of bread, he (Yahudah) then WENT OUT straightaway, and it was night. When, therefore, he WENT OUT, יהושע said, “Now the Son of Adam has been esteemed, and Elohim has been esteemed in Him.“If Elohim has been esteemed in Him, Elohim shall also esteem Him in Himself, and straightaway esteem Him. ~John 13:30, 32 Stay with me THERE IS GOLD HERE… Comparing John Account with Matthew, Mark, and Luke (See if you notice any differences) MATTHEW “And on the first day of Unleavened Bread the taught ones came to יהושע, saying to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near. I am to observe the Passover at your house with My taught ones.” And the taught ones did as יהושע had ordered them, and prepared the Passover. And when evening came, He sat down with the twelve. And while they were eating, He said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.” And they were deeply grieved, and began to say to Him, each of them, “Master, is it I?” And He answering, said, “He who has dipped his hand with Me in the dish, he shall deliver Me up. “Indeed, the Son of Man goes as it has been written concerning Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is delivered up! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” And Yahudah – he who delivered Him up – answering, said, “Rabbi, is it I?” He said to him, “You have said it.” ~Matthew 26:17-25 MARK “And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Passover lamb, His taught ones said to Him, “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Passover?” And He sent out two of His taught ones and said to them, “Go into the city, and there a man bearing a jar of water shall meet you, follow him. “And wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room in whichI am to eat the Passover with My taught ones?” ’ “And he shall show you a large upper room, furnished, ready. Prepare for us there.” And His taught ones went out and came into the city, and found it as He said to them, and they prepared the Passover. And evening having come, He came with the twelve. And as they sat and ate, יהושע said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you who is eating with Me shall deliver Me up.” And they began to be grieved, and to say to Him one by one, “Is it I?” And another, “Is it I?” And He answering, said to them, “It is one of the twelve, he who is dipping with Me in the dish. “The Son of Man is indeed going, as it has been written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is delivered up! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” ~Mark 14:16-21 LUKE “And the Day of Unleavened Bread came when the Passover had to be slaughtered. And He sent Kepha and Yohanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat.” And they said to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare?” And He said to them, “See, as you enter into the city, a man shall meet you carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house he enters. “And you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I might eat the Passover with My taught ones?” ’ “And he shall show you a large, furnished upper room. Prepare it there.” And going they found it as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. And when the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve emissaries with Him. And He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering, for I say to you, I shall certainly not eat of it again until it is filled in the reign of Elohim.” … “But see, the hand of him delivering Me up is with Me on the table. “For indeed the Son of Man goes as it has been decreed, but woe to that man by whom He is delivered up!” And they began to ask among themselves, which of them it could be who was about to do this.” ~Luke 22:7-16, 21-23 WOW! Did you see any differences in the 4 Accounts? Did you see any similarities in the 4 Accounts? Here’s What I saw: John’s account was BEFORE PASSOVER Matthew, Mark, and Luke’s account was on PASSOVER John’s account of יהושע’s encounter with Yahudah (Judas) is totally different than Matthew, Mark, and Luke. As mentioned earlier in John’s account: John reclining on the bosom of יהושע Kepha motions to John (the disciple whom יהושע loved) to ask who it was יהושע tells John, the one I give bread to after dipping it יהושע dips bread יהושע gave bread to Yahudah After the bread, Satan entered into Yahudah יהושע said “What you do, do quickly” Yahudah after receiving the bread, WENT OUT In Matthew and Mark ‘s account: “He who has dipped his hand with Me in the dish, he shall deliver Me up.” “It is one of the twelve, he who is dipping with Me in the dish. Yahudah asked “Rabbi, is it I?” He said to him, “You have said it.” Also in Matthew, Mark, And Luke’s account there is proclamation of Woe, which was absent from John’s account. Plus there is NO mention of Yahudah (Judas) going out (WENT OUT) after dinner. Why the differences? Well that’s simple… The Events in John & The Events in Matthew, Mark, and Luke… Are Two Different Events that Happened on Two Separate Days! Final Thoughts: We Can Link the Events of John 13:1-32 to the start of Day 13 / Month 1 for a number of reasons. I’ll cover 2 here: “And after the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. יהושע, therefore, said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” … “having received the piece of bread, he (Yahudah) then WENT OUT straightaway, and it was night. When, therefore, he WENT OUT, יהושע said, “Now the Son of Adam has been esteemed, and Elohim has been esteemed in Him. ~John 13:27, 30, 31 This phrase he “WENT OUT” or “WENT” is also mention in Matthew, Mark, and Luke PRIOR to THE PASSOVER! “Then one of the twelve, called Yahudah from Qerioth, WENT to the chief priests, and said, “What would you give me to deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. And from then on he was seeking an occasion to deliver Him up. And on the first day of Unleavened Bread the taught ones came to יהושע, saying to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” ~Matthew 26:14-17 “And Yahudah from Qerioth, one of the twelve, WENT to the chief prieststo deliver Him up to them. And when they heard it, they were glad, promised to give him silver. And he was seeking how to deliver Him up, conveniently. And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Passover lamb, His taught ones said to Him, “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Passover?” ~Mark 14:10-12 HERE’S THE CLINCHER “And SATAN ENTERED into Yahudah, who was called man from Qerioth, who was numbered among the twelve. And he WENT and spoke with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver Him up to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him silver. And he promised, and was seeking an occasion to deliver Him up to them, away from the crowd. And the Day of Unleavened Bread came when the Passover had to be slaughtered. And He sent Kepha and Yohanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat.” ~Luke 22:3-8 In Matthew, Mark, and Luke Yahudah (Judas) WENT to the chief priests Prior to THE PASSOVER!!! …However did you catch it? (((SATAN ENTERED into Yahudah Prior to PASSOVER))) However, in John ‘s account it was After the meal when יהושע dipped the bread and handed it to Yahudah, after the piece of bread SATAN HAD ENTERED him, and he WENT OUT! John’s account Satan Entered into Yahudah AFTER the meal! Luke’s account Satan Entered into Yahudah BEFORE PASSOVER! It all makes perfect sense once you realize the Timing of Events! Satan Entered Yahudah AFTER the meal on Day 13 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. which was BEFORE PASSOVER on Day 14 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. For More Info Check out:
Do This In Remembrance of Me Part 1: Is Passover on the 14th or 15th? Part 2: When is Passover? Part 3: The Woman with the Alabaster Jar – Judas & The Passover Connection! Part 4: When Did The Apostle John Keep Passover? Posted onMarch 26, 2017CategoriesAppointed Times, UncategorizedLeave a comment Some “try” to use John’s Account as a proof text for celebrating Passoveron the 15th instead of on the 14th as it is commanded in the Scripture:
“On the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings is the Passover of יהוה.” ~Leviticus 23:5 Matter a fact, you can look from Genesis to Revelation you will NOT FIND a single reference or command to ever celebrate the Passover on Day 15 / Month 1. Many trying to uses John’s Account for their proof text for celebrating Passover on the 15th, don’t realize that the John kept the Passover on Day 14 / Month 1! Today we are going to look at one Historical Proof! In Eusebius’ Ecclesiastical History, Book 5, Chapter 24, on page 208, there is the record of the following letter written by an elder, Polycrates, to Victor of the Church of Rome: “We, therefore, observe the genuine day; neither adding thereto nor taking therefrom. For in Asia great lights have fallen asleep, which shall rise again in the day of the (Rabbi’s) appearing, in which He will come with esteem from Shamayim, and will raise up all the saints; Phillip, one of the twelve apostles, who sleeps in Hierapolis, and his two aged virgin daughters. His other daughter, also, who having lived under the influence of the Ruach ha Qodesh, now likewise rests in Ephesus. Moreover, Yahuchanon (John), who rested on the bosom of our (Rabbi); who also was a priest, and bore the sacerdotal plate, both a martyr and a teacher. He is buried in Ephesus; also Polycarp of Smyrna , both elder and martyr of Eumenia, who is buried at Smyrna. Why should I mention Sagaris, elder and martyr, who rests at Laodicea? Moreover, the blessed Papirius; and Melito, the eunuch, whose walk and conversation was altogether under the influence of the Ruach ha Qodesh, who now rests at Sardis, awaiting the episcopate form Shamayim, when he shall rise from the dead. ALL THESE OBSERVED THE 14TH DAY OF THE PASSOVER ACCORDIGN TO THE WORD, DEVIATING IN NO RESPECT, BUT FOLLOWING THE RULE OF FAITH. Moreover, I, Polycrates, who am the least of all of you, according to the tradition of my relatives, some of whom I have followed. For there were seven, my relatives elders, and I am the eighth; and my relatives always observed the day when the people threw away the leaven.” Part 1: Is Passover on the 14th or 15th? Part 2: When is Passover? Part 3: The Woman with the Alabaster Jar – Judas & The Passover Connection! Part 4: When Did The Apostle John Keep Passover? Part 5: Coming Soon… Messiah said: “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” ~Matthew 7:13, 14 Messiah said: “I am the gate [door]. Whoever enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and find pasture. ~John 10:1 “יהושע said, to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” ~John 14:6 And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I shall make you fishers of men.” ~Matthew 4:19 The Cost of Following יהושע Messiah: “So, then everyone of you who does not give up all that he has, is unable to be My taught one.” ~Luke 14:33 The Reward of Following יהושע Messiah: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. “And I give them everlasting life, and they shall by no means ever perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.” ~John 10:27, 28 It requires a faithful, loving, relationship with HIM. He tells us His Love Language: “If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.” ~John 14:15 “יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him. “He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. ***And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.” ~John 15:23, 24 ***NOTICE: The Son’s Word is the Father’s Word! (There isn't a different message) “But He answering, said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.” ~Matthew 4:4 However, we must continue in this faithful loving relationship with יהושע: “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. “But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.” ~Matthew 24:12, 13 So is obedience necessary to enter the Kingdom / Everlasting Life? Let’s see what Messiah actually taught on this subject: “And see, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good shall I do to have everlasting life?” And He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One –Elohim. But if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands.” ~Matthew 19:16, 17 This is worth meditating on: “BUT IF YOU WISH TO ENTER INTO LIFE, GUARD THE COMMANDS.” And of course Messiah’s Words are in total agreement with the rest of Scripture: “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. “Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. “But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.” ~Revelation 22:13-15 Is Obedience “Optional” according to Messiah? Messiah gives the reason why the vast majority will be denied entrance into the Kingdom of Elohim: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the rock, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” ~Matthew 7:21-25 “He who watches over the Torah is a wise son,” ~Proverbs 28:7a The vast majority will be rejected because they work Lawlessness! They DO NOT guard (watch over) His Torah! The “lawless professors of faith” are sharply contrasted with the Faithful Remnant: “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of יהושע. ~Revelation 14:12 “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of יהושע Messiah.” ~Revelation 12:17 NOTICE: the Faithful Remnant have 2 things: 1. The faith (belief), witness of יהושע 2. and they guard the commands of Elohim The lawless have no place in the Kingdom: “The Son of Man shall send out His messengers, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing lawlessness, and shall throw them into the furnace of fire – there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. “Then the righteous shall shine forth as the sun in the reign of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” ~Matthew 13:41-43 Since Obedience to the King of the Kingdom is Absolutely Necessary… Then… HOW DO WE WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO THE KING? Great Question We’ll get into that NEXT TIME. It is often thought that it is impossible to keep the Torah… And believers are often discouraged “to even try” to walk in obedience with statements like: “It’s too hard” “You won’t be able to keep it” “Jesus kept it so we don’t have to” “that’s legalism” “That’s for the Jews” “The Torah is done away” …and the excuses keep coming… When in reality the keeping of the Torah should be the norm! And it is most definitely NOT too hard to keep it… “For this command which I am commanding you today, it is not too hard for you, nor is it far off.” ~Deuteronomy 30:11 “For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy,” ~1 John 5:3 …Many faithful believers around the globe are keeping the Torah! So…this leads us to a very important question that I get asked all the time: “How Do We Walk In Obedience To The KING?” Another way of saying it is: “How Do We Keep Torah?” Before we answer that question, we need to understand that The Scriptures describes the Torah as: The Torah is Perfect…(Psalms 19:7) The Torah is the Way (Isaiah 2:3) The Torah is the Truth (Psalms 119:142) The Torah is Light (Proverbs 6:23) The Torah is A Tree of Life (Proverbs 3:13-19) The Torah is Set-Apart (Romans 7:12) The Torah is Righteous (Romans 7:12 The Torah is Good… (Romans 7:12) The Torah is Spiritual… (Romans 7:14a) …and the list keeps going… How do we keep that which is Spiritual and Perfect? HOW DO WE KEEP THE TORAH? I guess we should define some terms… What is the Torah? Torah is Strong’s #H8451 תורה = instruction, principles which men follow, directions, law. The Torah is the Creator’s Instructions for Life! Are the Creator’s Instructions for Life…Done Away with? Torah comes from the root Yarah Strong’s #H3384 ירה = to flow like water, to throw an arrow – to shoot, to point out (as if aiming with the finger), to teach, archer, cast, direct, inform, instruct. Did you notice the “archery terms” like: to throw an arrow – to shoot – to aim – to direct? “For Messiah is the goal of the Torah unto righteousness to everyone who believes.” ~Romans 10:4 This makes perfect sense once you realize Messiah literally embodies The Torah! “And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.” ~John 1:14 The Torah (The Creator’s Instruction for Life) is setting our aim towards Messiah יהושע our GOAL! “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of Elohim in Messiah יהושע . As many, then, as are perfect, should have this mind. And if you think differently in any respect, Elohim shall also reveal this to you.” ~Philippians 3:14, 15 So…What does it means to “Keep” the Torah? The Hebrew word for Keep (guard) is Shamar Strong’s #H8104 שמר = to keep, to guard, to keep watch, watchman, to protect, to save life, to take care, to observe, to celebrate, to preserve. So someone who “KEEPS” Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life): Guards the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Is a Watchman over the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Protects the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Saves the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Takes Care of the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Observes the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Celebrates the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Preserves the Torah (The Creator’s Instructions for Life) Hopefully that helps a little bit with definitions, but we still haven’t explained HOW this is possible… “How Do We Walk In Obedience To The KING?” “How Do We Keep Torah?” Actually the answer it quite simple: By the Spirit writing the Torah on our Hearts! This is what the Renewed Covenant is all about… “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisrael after those days, declares יהוה: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” ~Jeremiah 31:33 And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause you to walk in My laws and guard My right-rulings and shall do them.” ~Ezekiel 36:26, 27 The Apostle Paul uses this the “Flesh” vs the “Spirit” theme in many of his letters. “Walking in the Flesh” “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, ~Romans 8:5a “For the mind of the flesh is death, ~Romans 8:6a “Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able, and those who are in the flesh are unable to please Elohim. ~Romans 8:7, 8 “For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; ~Romans 8:13a “And the works of the flesh are well known, which are these: adultery, whoring, uncleanness, indecency, idolatry, drug sorcery, hatred, quarrels, jealousies, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, murders, drunkenness, wild parties, and the like – of which I forewarn you, even as I also said before, that those who practise such as these shall not inherit the reign of Elohim.” ~Galatians 5:19-21 Did you Notice those “Walking in the Flesh” were not Keeping Torah nor were they able. Now let’s look at the other side… “Walking in the Spirit” “There is, then, now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah יהושע, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the Torah of the Spirit of the life in Messiah יהושע has set me free from the law of sin and of death. For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteousness of the Torah should be completed in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” ~Romans 8:1-4 “those who live according to the Spirit, (their mind is on) the matters of the Spirit. ~Romans 8:5b “the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. ~Romans 8:6b “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His. And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised יהושע from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you. So then, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. ~Romans 8:9-12 “but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of Elohim, these are sons of Elohim. ~Romans 8:13b, 14 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no Torah. And those who are of Messiah have impaled the flesh with its passions and the desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” ~Galatians 5:22-25 How do we receive the Spirit of Elohim to partake of this New Life? Where do we start? “And Kepha said to them, “Repent, and let each one of you be immersed in the Name of יהושע Messiah for the forgiveness of sins. And you shall receive the gift of the Set-apart Spirit. “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, as many as יהוה our Elohim shall call.” And with many other words he earnestly witnessed and urged them, saying, “Be saved from this crooked generation.” ~Acts 2:38-40 It’s Time to be Restored to the Creator and His Ways! It’s Time to Walk In Obedience to the King! It’s Time to Keep His Torah! It’s Time to Walk in the Light! “IF the Spirit of Him who raised יהושע from the dead dwells in you” Then What’s Your Excuse? ~Deuteronomy 28~
1 “And it shall be, if you diligently obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard to do all His commands which I command you today, that יהוה your Elohim shall set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim: 3 “Blessed are you in the city, and blessed are you in the field. 4 “Blessed is the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your livestock – the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 “Blessed is your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 “Blessed are you when you come in, and blessed are you when you go out. 7“יהוה causes your enemies who rise against you to be smitten before your face – they come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8“יהוה commands the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and shall bless you in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you. 9“יהוה does establish you as a set-apart people to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim and walk in His ways. 10“And all peoples of the earth shall see that the Name of יהוה is called upon you, and they shall be afraid of you. 11“And יהוה shall make you to have plenty of what is good, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land of which יהוה swore to your fathers to give you. 12 “יהוה opens to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you do not borrow. 13 “And יהוה shall make you the head and not the tail. And you shall be only on top, and not be beneath, if you obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim, which I command you today, to guard and do. 14 “And do not turn aside from any of the Words which I am commanding you today, right or left, to go after other mighty ones to serve them. 15 “And it shall be, if you do not obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard to do all His commands and His laws which I command you today, that all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you: 16 “Cursed are you in the city, and cursed are you in the field. 17 “Cursed is your basket and your kneading bowl. 18 “Cursed is the fruit of your body and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 19 “Cursed are you when you come in, and cursed are you when you go out. 20 “יהוה sends on you the curse, the confusion, and the rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings by which you have forsaken Me. 21 “יהוה makes the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 “יהוה smites you with wasting disease, and with inflammation, and with burning, and with extreme heat, and with the sword, and with blight, and with mildew. And they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 “And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you iron. 24 “יהוה makes the rain of your land powder and dust; from the heavens it comes down on you until you are destroyed. 25 “יהוה causes you to be defeated before your enemies – you go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you shall become a horror to all the reigns of the earth. 26 “And your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth, with no one to frighten them away. 27 “יהוה shall smite you with the boils of Mitsrayim, with tumours, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you are unable to be healed. 28 “יהוה shall smite you with madness and blindness and bewilderment of heart. 29 “And you shall be groping at noon, as a blind man gropes in darkness, and not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and plundered all the days, with no one to save you. 30 “You become engaged to a wife, but another man does lie with her. You build a house, but do not dwell in it. You plant a vineyard, but do not use its fruit. 31 “Your ox is slaughtered before your eyes, but you do not eat of it. Your donkey is violently taken from before you, and it is not given back to you. Your sheep are given to your enemies, with no one to save them. 32 “Your sons and your daughters are given to another people, and your eyes look and fail for them all day long, and your hand powerless. 33 “A people whom you have not known eat the fruit of your land and all your labours. And you shall be only oppressed and crushed all the days. 34 “And you shall be maddened because of the sight which your eyes see. 35 “יהוה smites you in the knees and on the legs with evil boils of which you are unable to be healed, and from the sole of your foot to the top of your head. 36 “יהוה brings you and the sovereign whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other mighty ones, wood and stone. 37 “Thus you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a mockery among all the peoples to which יהוה drives you. 38 “You take much seed out into the field but gather little in, for the locust consumes it. 39 “You plant vineyards, and shall labour, but you neither drink of the wine nor gather, for the worm eats it. 40 “You have olive trees in all your border, but do not anoint with oil, for your olives drop off. 41 “You bring forth sons and daughters, but they are not with you, for they go into captivity. 42 “Locusts possess all your trees and the fruit of your ground. 43 “The sojourner who is among you rises higher and higher above you, but you come down lower and lower. 44 “He lends to you, but you do not lend to him. He is the head, and you are the tail. 45 “And all these curses shall come upon you, and they shall pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard His commands and His laws which He commanded you. 46 “And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed, forever. 47 “Because you did not serve יהוה your Elohim with joy and gladness of heart for all the plenty, 48 you shall serve your enemies whom יהוה sends against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in need of all. And he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you. 49 “יהוה brings a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you shall not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation, which shows no regard for the elderly nor show favour to the young, 51 and they shall eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed. They leave you no grain, nor new wine, nor oil, nor the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. 52 “And they shall besiege you at all your gates till your high and fenced walls, in which you are trusting, come down in all your land. And they shall besiege you at all your gates in all your land which יהוה your Elohim has given you. 53 “And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom יהוה your Elohim has given you, in the siege and distress in which your enemies distress you. 54 “The man among you who is tender, and who is very delicate, his eye is evil against his brother, against the wife of his bosom, and against the rest of his children whom he leaves behind, 55 against giving any of them the flesh of his children that he eats, because it is all that has been left to him in the siege and distress with which your enemy distresses you in all your gates. 56 “The tender and the delicate woman among you, who have not tried to set the sole of her foot on the ground because of her delicateness and tenderness, her eye is evil against the husband of her bosom, and against her son, and against her daughter, 57 and against her seed which comes out from between her feet, and her children whom she bears, for she eats them in secret for lack of all, in the siege and distress with which your enemy distresses you in all your gates. 58 “If you do not guard to do all the Words of this Torah that are written in this book, to fear this esteemed and awesome Name, יהוה your Elohim, 59 then יהוה shall bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues, great and lasting plagues, and grievous and lasting sicknesses. 60 “And He shall bring back on you all the diseases of Mitsrayim, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you, 61 also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in the book of this Torah, יהוה does bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 “And you shall be left with few men, although you had become as numerous as the stars of the heavens, because you did not obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim. 63 “And it shall be, that as יהוה rejoiced over you to do you good and increase you, so יהוה does rejoice over you to destroy you and lay you waste. And you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess. 64 “And יהוה shall scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other mighty ones, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone. 65 “And among those nations you are to find no rest, nor have a resting place for the sole of your foot. But there יהוה shall give you a trembling heart, and failing eyes, and sorrow of being. 66 “And your life shall be hanging in suspense before you, and you shall fear day and night, and not be certain of your life. 67 “In the morning you say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ And at evening you say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the fear of your heart, with which you fear, and because of the sight which your eyes see. 68 “And יהוה shall bring you back to Mitsrayim in ships, by a way of which I said to you, ‘You are never to see it again.’ And there you shall be sold to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one to buy.” |
