“On the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings is the Passover of יהוה.” ~Leviticus 23:5 So does Passover start the evening beginning the 14th or evening beginning the 15th? Once we realize the Passover and Unleavened Bread comprise of an 8 Day Festival… …and that Passover starts at Sunset… …then it’s pretty to easy to determine from Renewed Covenant Writings when Messiah Kept the Passover! We know Messiah died sometime after the 9th hour, which was approximately 3 hours before the High Sabbath! The High Sabbath in question is obviously the First Day of Unleavened Bread, which is Day 15 / Month 1. This is also mentioned in the Torah: “Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. Indeed on the first day you cause leaven to cease from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that being shall be cut off from Yisrael. ‘And on the first day is a set-apart gathering, and on the seventh day you have a set-apart gathering. No work at all is done on them, only that which is eaten by every being, that alone is prepared by you.” ~Exodus 12:15, 16 “And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to יהוה – seven days you eat unleavened bread. ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. ‘And you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.’ ” And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Speak to the children of Yisrael, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest. ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before יהוה, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it.” ~Leviticus 23:6-11 Notice how the Scripture calls Day 15 / Month 1, the first day of the of Unleavened Bread a Sabbath, you do no servile work. (This will be important to know later on for understanding the Resurrection of Messiah) So it is clear from the Scriptures Messiah died on Passover Day (Day 14 / Month 1) approximately 3 hours before the High Sabbath (Day 15 / Month 1). Now if we back up to the start of Day 14 / Month 1 it becomes obvious when Messiah and His Disciples Kept the Passover. Again it is important to remember that Hebrew Day go from: -Evening to Night to Morning to Day- Let’s go to the Scripture and See When Messiah יהושע Kept the Passover! Matthew’s Account: “And on the first day of Unleavened Bread the taught ones came to יהושע, saying to Him,Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” ~Mattehw 26:17 ***Note: Remember Passover and Unleavened Bread when combined make for a 8 Day Festival. Passover is the first day of the 8 Days that we eat unleavened bread. Let’s Continue… “And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near. I am to observe the Passover at your house with My taught ones.” And the taught ones did as יהושע had ordered them, and prepared the Passover.” ~Matthew 26:17-19 Questions: Was Messiah telling the truth? Did He really observe the Passover? Did his taught ones really prepare the Passover? “And when evening came, He sat down with the twelve. And while they were eating, He said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.”… ~Matthew 26:20, 21 “And as they were eating, יהושע took bread, and having blessed, broke and gave it to the taught ones and said, “Take, eat, this is My body.” ~Matthew 26:26 Statement/Questions: Some want to argue that the word for bread “artos” always means “leavened bread” (although not true), many of these individuals really haven’t fully thought this through… Are you saying Messiah took Leavened Bread and said “This is My Body”? Doesn’t “Leaven” represent sin and false teachings…? Doesn’t “Unleavened Bread” represent sincerity and truth…? Are you sure Messiah compared His Body to “Leavened Bread”…? “And taking the cup, and giving thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. “For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. “But I say to you, I shall certainly not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on till that day when I drink it anew with you in the reign of My Father.” ~Matthew 26:27-29 Key Points: 1) “Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” 2) “I am to observe the Passover at your house with My taught ones.” 3) “And the taught ones did as יהושע had ordered them, and prepared the Passover.” Mark’s Account: “And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Passover lamb, His taught ones said to Him, Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Passover?” And He sent out two of His taught ones and said to them, “Go into the city, and there a man bearing a jar of water shall meet you, follow him. “And wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room in which I am to eat the Passover with My taught ones?” “And he shall show you a large upper room, furnished, ready. Prepare for us there.” And His taught ones went out and came into the city, and found it as He said to them, and they prepared the Passover.” ~Mark 14:12-16 Notice again the first day of “Unleavened Bread” is a reference to The WHOLE 8 Days of Unleavened Bread (See picture above). The first day is Passover. In Mark’s account he adds, “when they were slaughtering the Passover lamb.” “And evening having come, He came with the twelve. And as they sat and ate, יהושע said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you who is eating with Me shall deliver Me up.” ~Mark 14:17, 18 “And as they were eating, יהושע took bread, having blessed, broke it, gave it to them and said, “Take, eat, this is My body.” And taking the cup, giving thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, “This is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many.“Truly, I say to you, I shall certainly no more drink of the fruit of the vine till that day when I drink it anew in the reign of Elohim.” ~Mark 14:22-25 Key Points: 1. “When they were slaughtering the Passover lamb” 2. “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Passover?” 3. ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room in which I am to eat thePassover with My taught ones?” 4. “And found it as He said to them, and they prepared the Passover.” 5. “And as they sat and ate“ Luke’s Account: “And the Festival of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover.” ~Luke 22:1 ***I’ve mentioned it multiple times now, but it is critically important to understand that Passover & Unleavened Bread together make an 8 Day Festival, if you don’t get that truth, you will never understand the correct timing of Passover. “And the Day of Unleavened Bread came when the Passover had to be slaughtered. And He sent Kepha (Peter) and Yahucanan (John), saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat.” And they said to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare?” And He said to them, “See, as you enter into the city, a man shall meet you carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house he enters. “And you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I might eat the Passover with My taught ones?” “And he shall show you a large, furnished upper room. Prepare it there.” And going they found it as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. And when the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve emissaries with Him. And He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering, for I say to you, I shall certainly not eat of it again until it is filled in the reign of Elohim.” ~Luke 22:7-16 Key Points: 1. “Festival of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover.” 2. “the Day of Unleavened Bread came when the Passover had to be slaughtered.” That is Day 14 / Month 1 between the evenings: “On the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings is the Passover of יהוה.” ~Leviticus 23:5 “And you shall keep it (Passover lamb) until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisrael shall kill it between the evenings.” ~Exodus 12:6 (by the way, there is NOT a Single Scriptural reference whatsoever that Passover “occurred” on Day 15 / Month 1, no not one!) Question: What Day and When did the Passover have to be slaughtered? Question: When does a Day begin? 3. “And He sent Kepha (Peter) and Yahucanan (John), saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat.” 4. ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I might eat the Passover with My taught ones?” 5. “And going they found it as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.” 6. “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering, for I say to you, I shall certainly not eat of it again until it is filled in the reign of Elohim.” So far, we have covered 14 Direct References to Passover being Kept byMessiah and His disciples at the beginning of Day 14 / Month 1! John’s Account: Note 1: Many people “think” the meal of John 13:1-32 refers to the night that Messiah was delivered up (The night of Day 14). However, the Scripture clearly states: “And BEFORE the Festival of the Passover, יהושעknowing that His hour had come that He should move out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And supper taking place…,” ~John 13:1, 2a The Events John 13:1-32 actually took place on the evening of Day 13 / Month 1, one day BEFORE Passover on Day 14 / Month 1. (For More information on that click on the picture below) Note 2: According to the Scripture (Luke 22:7) it was Peter and John who went to “prepare the Passover.” This shows from the Scripture John kept the Passover at the beginning of Day 14 / Month 1! Note 3: History also tells us that John kept the Passover on Day 14 / Month 1.! Note 4: In John 18:28 it is written: “Then they led יהושע from Qayapha to the palace, and it was early. And they themselves did not go into the palace, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.” ~John 18:28 The priest did not want to go into the palace, to avoid “the defilement of the dead.” “He who touches the dead of any human being is unclean for seven days.” ~Numbers 19:11 “But there were certain men, who were unclean by the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day; and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.” ~Numbers 9:6 (JPS Tankh 1917) “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Passover unto יהוה ; in the second month on the fourteenth day between the evenings they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs; they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof; according to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it. ~Numbers 9:10-12 The Phrase, “That they might eat the Passover“ refers to the “chagigah”or the “additional Passover” sacrifice during the day portion of Day 14 / Month 1. So we can see from the accounts Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that Messiah and His Disciples ate the Passover at the beginning of Day 14 / Month 1. For More Information regarding The Appointed Times

“Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the entire lump? Therefore cleanse out the old leaven, so that you are a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Messiah our Passover was offered for us. So then Let Us Observe (Keep) The Festival, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of evil and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” ~1 Corinthians 5:6-8 This is one of many examples of Shaul Teaching Torah! Let Us Keep The Feast in Sincerity and Truth! Coming Soon… (((A Verse by Verse Commentary On the Book of Galatians!))) “Guard the month of Abib and perform the Passover to יהוה your Elohim, for in the month of Abib יהוה your Elohim brought you out of Egypt by night.”
~Deuteronomy 16:1 “And no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day at twilightremain overnight until morning.” ~Deuteronomy 16:4 …Some are trying to use the verse above to promote the false teaching that Passover is on Day 15 / Month 1… It would be hard to understand the eight days of Passover and Unleavened Bread from Deuteronomy alone. In order to rightly divide the Word of Truth we need to read and study everything that Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers has to say on the subject. The instructions in these books will help clarify the account in Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy 16:1-8
“1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to יהוה your Elohim[on Day 14 / Month 1], for in the month of Abib יהוה your Elohim brought you out of Egypt by night. 2 Therefore you shall sacrifice the Passover to יהוהyour Elohim, from the flock and the herd, in the place where יהוה chooses to put His name. 3 You shall eat no leavened bread with it; [Then from Day 15 / Month 1 to Day 21 / Month 1 for] seven days you shall eat unleavened breadwith it, that is, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt [Day 21 / Month 1] all the days of your life. 4 And no leavenshall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days [Day 15 / Month 1 to Day 21 / Month 1], nor shall any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day [Day 14 / Month 1] at twilight remain overnight until morning. 5 “You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which יהוה your Elohim gives you; 6 but at the place where יהוה your Elohim chooses to make His name abide, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at twilight [beginning Day 14 / Month 1], at the going down of the sun, at the time you came out of Egypt. 7 And you shall roast and eat it in the place which יהוהyour Elohim chooses, and in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents. 8 Six days you shall eat unleavened bread [Day 15 / Month 1 to Day 20 / Month 1], and on the seventh day [Day 21 / Month 1] there shall be a sacred assembly to יהוה your Elohim. You shall do no work on it. LEFT RAMESES The children of Yisrael left Rameses on Day 15 / Month 1: Numbers 33:3 They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day AFTER the Passover the children of Yisrael went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians. LEFT EGYPT The children of Yisrael left the land of Egypt when they crossed the Red Sea on Day 21 / Month 1: Exodus 12:16-18 16 On the first day [Day 15 / Month 1] there shall be a set apart convocation, and on the seventh day [Day 21 / Month 1] there shall be a set apart convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them; but that which everyone must eat — that only may be prepared by you. 17 So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day [Day 21 / Month 1] I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance. Some “think” Passover occurs in the “afternoon”… However, what does the Scripture teach: ***Note: Yisrael left Rameses on Day 15 / Month 1 (Numbers 33:3), however Yisrael left EGYPT by crossing the “Red Sea” after Sunseton Day 21 / Month 1.
In Part 2, we started to explain how the MEAL of John 13:1-32 is linked with the start of Day 13 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. and should not be confused with the Passover which occurred the following evening on Day 14 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. Today we are going to look a little deeper at the context surrounding these events! The Woman with the Alabaster Jar – Judas & The Passover Connection! “Truly, I say to you, wherever this Good News is proclaimed in all the world, what this woman did shall also be spoken of, to her remembrance.” ~Mark 14:9 What this woman did was wonderful! I also believe her story is directly linked to Yahudah’s (Judas) betrayal! Let’s Go to the Scriptures! “And it came to be, when יהושע ended all these words, He said to His taught ones, “You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man is to be delivered up to be impaled.” Then the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people came together at the court of the high priest, who was called Qayapha, and plotted to seize יהושעby trickery and kill Him. But they said, “Not at the festival lest there be an uproar among the people.” And when יהושע was in Beyth Anyah at the house of Shimon the leper, a woman came to Him, having an alabaster flask of costly perfume, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.” ~Matthew 26:1-7 “Now the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to take Him through treachery and put Him to death. And they said, “Not at the festival, lest there shall be an uproar of the people.” And while He was in Beyth Anyah in the house of Shimon the leper, and sitting at the table, a womancame having an alabaster flask of perfume, genuine nard, very costly. And breaking the flask she poured it on His head.” ~Mark 14:1-3 Both Matthew and Mark state that “she poured it on His head” TWO DAYS BEFORE PASSOVER! These Events occurred on Day 12 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. So why is this important? Well let’s pick up the story and see what happens Next… “She poured it on His Head”… “and when His taught ones saw it, they were much displeased saying, “To what purpose is this waste? “For this perfume could have been sold for much and given to the poor.” However, when יהושע noticed it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work toward Me. “For you always have the poor with you, but Me you do not have always. “For in pouring this perfume on My body, she did it for My burial. “Truly, I say to you, wherever this Good News is proclaimed in all the world, what this woman has done shall be spoken of also, to her remembrance.” THEN one of the twelve, called Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, WENT to the chief priests, ~Matthew 26:8-14 “But there were some who were much displeased among themselves, and said, “Why was this perfume wasted? “For it could have been sold for more than three hundred pieces of silver and given to the poor.” And they were scolding her. But יהושע said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. “For you have the poor with you always, and you are able do good to them, whenever you wish. But you do not always have Me. “What she had, she used. She took it beforehand to anoint My body for the burial. “Truly, I say to you, wherever this Good News is proclaimed in all the world, what this woman did shall also be spoken of, to her remembrance.” And Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, one of the twelve, WENT to the chief priests to deliver Him up to them. ~Mark 14:4-10 In both accounts, some of the taught ones were angry that the woman was “wasting” the perfume… THEN Yahduah (Judas) WENT To the chief priestto deliver up Messiah! As stated in Part 2, Yahudah WENT to the chief priest on Day 13 / Month 1. So the EVENT: YAHUDAH (JUDAS) WENT OUT is sandwiched between The Woman with the Alabaster Jar and the Passover! To better understand Yahudah’s betrayal we need to back up 6 Day Before Passover and examine a similar event. “Accordingly יהושע, six days before the Passover, came to Beyth Anyah, where Elazar was, who had died, whom He raised from the dead. So they made Him a supper there, and Martha served, while Elazar was one of those who sat at the table with Him. Then Miryam took a pound of costly perfume of nard, anointed the feet of יהושע, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” ~John 12:1-3 6 Days Before Passover Miryam anointed the feet of יהושע, and wiped His feet with her hair. This Event occurred on Day 8 / Month 1 in 34 C.E.! Miryam is named and anoints His feet on Day 8 / Month 1, whereas the unnamed woman anoints His head on Day 12 / Month 1.
Let’s continue… “Then one of His taught ones, Yahudah from Qerioth, son of Shimon, who was about to deliver Him up, said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred pieces of silver and given to the poor?” And he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and he used to take what was put in it.” ~John 12:4-6 Yahudah (Judas) was a THIEF! He used to take what was put in the (money) bag!!! WOW! We can see why he wasn’t happy… He was probably thinking inside… “hey I could of used that” So with his failure “to make a buck” on Day 8 sets the backdrop for the events on Day 12. It’s is after his second failure on Day 12, that leads him to give up Messiah on Day 13 for 30 pieces of silver! Part 1: Is Passover on the 14th or 15th? Part 2: When is Passover? Part 3: The Woman with the Alabaster Jar – Judas & The Passover Connection! Part 4: When Did The Apostle John Keep Passover? Part 5: Coming Soon… One of the main objections, I hear against celebrating the Passover at the beginning of the 14th is: “Since Messiah ate leavened bread at the last supper, therefore the evening preceding his death (evening of the 14th) could not have been the Passover!” At first glance this seem like a very strong argument, because the Scriptures clearly states that the Passover lamb is to be eaten with unleavened bread: “And they shall eat the flesh that night, roasted in fire, with unleavened bread, and they shall eat it with bitter herbs.” ~Exodus 12:8 Also in John 13:18 we read: “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but that the Scripture might be filled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.” What’s interesting about John 13:18 is that יהושע is quoting a prophecy from Psalm 41:9: “Even my own friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.” The Hebrew word used for bread in Psalm 41:9 is lechem Strong’s #H3899לחם, which can point to leavened bread, however lechem is also used for “showbread”, which is believed to be unleavened bread. Although we could go back and forth on the bread issue… Once we understand the “timing” of the events in question… we’ll realize “what is done with the bread” may be more important than the “type of bread” (leavened or unleavened). Was John 13:1-32 the Last Supper/Passover? Let’s Go to the Scripture and take a closer look: “And BEFORE the Festival of the Passover, יהושע knowing that His hour had come that He should move out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And suppertaking place, the devil having already put it into the heart of Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, son of Shimon, to deliver Him up, יהושע, knowing that the Father had given all into His hands, and that He had come from Elohim and was going to Elohim, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, and having taken a towel, He girded Himself. ~John 13:1-4 Did you notice the word BEFORE? The events in John 13:1-32 happen BEFORE PASSOVER! Let’s Continue… “After that He put water into a basin and began to wash the feet of the taught ones, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” ~John 13:5 “יהושע said to him (Peter), “He who has had a bath does not need to wash, except his feet, but is clean altogether. And you are clean, but not all of you.” For He knew who would deliver Him up, so He said, “You are not all clean.” ~John 13:10, 11 “When יהושע had said this He was troubled in spirit, and witnessed and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.” The taught ones looked at one another, doubting of whom He spoke. And one of His taught ones, whom יהושע loved, was reclining on the bosom of יהושע. Shimon Kepha (Peter) then motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke. And leaning back on the breast of יהושע he said to Him, “Master, who is it?” ~John 13:21-25 PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! “יהושע answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Yahudah (Judas) from Qerioth, son of Shimon. And after the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. יהושע, therefore, said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” ~John 13:26, 27 NOTICE: Taught ones doubting who it could be that delivers up יהושע John reclining on the bosom of יהושע Kepha motions to John (the disciple whom יהושע loved) to ask who it was יהושע tells John, the one I give bread to after dipping it יהושע dips bread יהושע gave bread to Yahudah After the bread, Satan entered into Yahudah Okay Let’s Continue “What you do, do quickly.” “But no one at the table knew why He said this to him, for some were supposing, because Yahudah had the bag, that יהושע was saying to him, “Buy what we need for the festival,” or that he should give somewhat to the poor. ~John 13:27b-29 Again the PASSOVER had not STARTED YET! “having received the piece of bread, he (Yahudah) then WENT OUT straightaway, and it was night. When, therefore, he WENT OUT, יהושע said, “Now the Son of Adam has been esteemed, and Elohim has been esteemed in Him.“If Elohim has been esteemed in Him, Elohim shall also esteem Him in Himself, and straightaway esteem Him. ~John 13:30, 32 Stay with me THERE IS GOLD HERE… Comparing John Account with Matthew, Mark, and Luke (See if you notice any differences) MATTHEW “And on the first day of Unleavened Bread the taught ones came to יהושע, saying to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near. I am to observe the Passover at your house with My taught ones.” And the taught ones did as יהושע had ordered them, and prepared the Passover. And when evening came, He sat down with the twelve. And while they were eating, He said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.” And they were deeply grieved, and began to say to Him, each of them, “Master, is it I?” And He answering, said, “He who has dipped his hand with Me in the dish, he shall deliver Me up. “Indeed, the Son of Man goes as it has been written concerning Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is delivered up! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” And Yahudah – he who delivered Him up – answering, said, “Rabbi, is it I?” He said to him, “You have said it.” ~Matthew 26:17-25 MARK “And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Passover lamb, His taught ones said to Him, “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Passover?” And He sent out two of His taught ones and said to them, “Go into the city, and there a man bearing a jar of water shall meet you, follow him. “And wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room in whichI am to eat the Passover with My taught ones?” ’ “And he shall show you a large upper room, furnished, ready. Prepare for us there.” And His taught ones went out and came into the city, and found it as He said to them, and they prepared the Passover. And evening having come, He came with the twelve. And as they sat and ate, יהושע said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you who is eating with Me shall deliver Me up.” And they began to be grieved, and to say to Him one by one, “Is it I?” And another, “Is it I?” And He answering, said to them, “It is one of the twelve, he who is dipping with Me in the dish. “The Son of Man is indeed going, as it has been written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is delivered up! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” ~Mark 14:16-21 LUKE “And the Day of Unleavened Bread came when the Passover had to be slaughtered. And He sent Kepha and Yohanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat.” And they said to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare?” And He said to them, “See, as you enter into the city, a man shall meet you carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house he enters. “And you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I might eat the Passover with My taught ones?” ’ “And he shall show you a large, furnished upper room. Prepare it there.” And going they found it as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. And when the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve emissaries with Him. And He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering, for I say to you, I shall certainly not eat of it again until it is filled in the reign of Elohim.” … “But see, the hand of him delivering Me up is with Me on the table. “For indeed the Son of Man goes as it has been decreed, but woe to that man by whom He is delivered up!” And they began to ask among themselves, which of them it could be who was about to do this.” ~Luke 22:7-16, 21-23 WOW! Did you see any differences in the 4 Accounts? Did you see any similarities in the 4 Accounts? Here’s What I saw: John’s account was BEFORE PASSOVER Matthew, Mark, and Luke’s account was on PASSOVER John’s account of יהושע’s encounter with Yahudah (Judas) is totally different than Matthew, Mark, and Luke. As mentioned earlier in John’s account: John reclining on the bosom of יהושע Kepha motions to John (the disciple whom יהושע loved) to ask who it was יהושע tells John, the one I give bread to after dipping it יהושע dips bread יהושע gave bread to Yahudah After the bread, Satan entered into Yahudah יהושע said “What you do, do quickly” Yahudah after receiving the bread, WENT OUT In Matthew and Mark ‘s account: “He who has dipped his hand with Me in the dish, he shall deliver Me up.” “It is one of the twelve, he who is dipping with Me in the dish. Yahudah asked “Rabbi, is it I?” He said to him, “You have said it.” Also in Matthew, Mark, And Luke’s account there is proclamation of Woe, which was absent from John’s account. Plus there is NO mention of Yahudah (Judas) going out (WENT OUT) after dinner. Why the differences? Well that’s simple… The Events in John & The Events in Matthew, Mark, and Luke… Are Two Different Events that Happened on Two Separate Days! Final Thoughts: We Can Link the Events of John 13:1-32 to the start of Day 13 / Month 1 for a number of reasons. I’ll cover 2 here: “And after the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. יהושע, therefore, said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” … “having received the piece of bread, he (Yahudah) then WENT OUT straightaway, and it was night. When, therefore, he WENT OUT, יהושע said, “Now the Son of Adam has been esteemed, and Elohim has been esteemed in Him. ~John 13:27, 30, 31 This phrase he “WENT OUT” or “WENT” is also mention in Matthew, Mark, and Luke PRIOR to THE PASSOVER! “Then one of the twelve, called Yahudah from Qerioth, WENT to the chief priests, and said, “What would you give me to deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. And from then on he was seeking an occasion to deliver Him up. And on the first day of Unleavened Bread the taught ones came to יהושע, saying to Him, “Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” ~Matthew 26:14-17 “And Yahudah from Qerioth, one of the twelve, WENT to the chief prieststo deliver Him up to them. And when they heard it, they were glad, promised to give him silver. And he was seeking how to deliver Him up, conveniently. And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Passover lamb, His taught ones said to Him, “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Passover?” ~Mark 14:10-12 HERE’S THE CLINCHER “And SATAN ENTERED into Yahudah, who was called man from Qerioth, who was numbered among the twelve. And he WENT and spoke with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver Him up to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him silver. And he promised, and was seeking an occasion to deliver Him up to them, away from the crowd. And the Day of Unleavened Bread came when the Passover had to be slaughtered. And He sent Kepha and Yohanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat.” ~Luke 22:3-8 In Matthew, Mark, and Luke Yahudah (Judas) WENT to the chief priests Prior to THE PASSOVER!!! …However did you catch it? (((SATAN ENTERED into Yahudah Prior to PASSOVER))) However, in John ‘s account it was After the meal when יהושע dipped the bread and handed it to Yahudah, after the piece of bread SATAN HAD ENTERED him, and he WENT OUT! John’s account Satan Entered into Yahudah AFTER the meal! Luke’s account Satan Entered into Yahudah BEFORE PASSOVER! It all makes perfect sense once you realize the Timing of Events! Satan Entered Yahudah AFTER the meal on Day 13 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. which was BEFORE PASSOVER on Day 14 / Month 1 in 34 C.E. For More Info Check out:

Part 4: When Did The Apostle John Keep Passover? “On the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings is the Passover of יהוה.” ~Leviticus 23:5 Matter a fact, you can look from Genesis to Revelation you will NOT FIND a single reference or command to ever celebrate the Passover on Day 15 / Month 1. Many trying to uses John’s Account for their proof text for celebrating Passover on the 15th, don’t realize that the John kept the Passover on Day 14 / Month 1! Today we are going to look at one Historical Proof! In Eusebius’ Ecclesiastical History, Book 5, Chapter 24, on page 208, there is the record of the following letter written by an elder, Polycrates, to Victor of the Church of Rome: “We, therefore, observe the genuine day; neither adding thereto nor taking therefrom. For in Asia great lights have fallen asleep, which shall rise again in the day of the (Rabbi’s) appearing, in which He will come with esteem from Shamayim, and will raise up all the saints; Phillip, one of the twelve apostles, who sleeps in Hierapolis, and his two aged virgin daughters. His other daughter, also, who having lived under the influence of the Ruach ha Qodesh, now likewise rests in Ephesus. Moreover, Yahuchanon (John), who rested on the bosom of our (Rabbi); who also was a priest, and bore the sacerdotal plate, both a martyr and a teacher. He is buried in Ephesus; also Polycarp of Smyrna , both elder and martyr of Eumenia, who is buried at Smyrna. Why should I mention Sagaris, elder and martyr, who rests at Laodicea? Moreover, the blessed Papirius; and Melito, the eunuch, whose walk and conversation was altogether under the influence of the Ruach ha Qodesh, who now rests at Sardis, awaiting the episcopate form Shamayim, when he shall rise from the dead. ALL THESE OBSERVED THE 14TH DAY OF THE PASSOVER ACCORDIGN TO THE WORD, DEVIATING IN NO RESPECT, BUT FOLLOWING THE RULE OF FAITH. Moreover, I, Polycrates, who am the least of all of you, according to the tradition of my relatives, some of whom I have followed. For there were seven, my relatives elders, and I am the eighth; and my relatives always observed the day when the people threw away the leaven.” Part 1: Is Passover on the 14th or 15th?
